Hosting Server Setup

  • Is my hosting fee refundable?

    Unfortunately we do not offer refunds on our web hosting accounts for any reason.

  • Will you provide a full copy/backup of our site if requested?

    Yes and at no cost! You 100% own everything that Timest Web creates for you and if requested we will provide a one-time full backup of your website. If additional backups are needed there is a minimal cost of generally 18,000 for additional backups.

  • How much does web hosting cost with Timest Web?

    We have simplified our packages for hosting down to two options. Non E-Commerce: ₦30,000 per year and E-commerce: $75,000 – 133,000 per year. All of our hosting packages are un-metered meaning that you will never be charged extra for going over a “limit.” There are occasionally instances though if a site creates so much traffic that it may need to live on it’s own server.   • How is my website backed up?

    Timest Web backs up all of our client’s websites daily, weekly and monthly on rotation to a 3rd party secure server out of the location of our web server. Our CMS we use called WordPress also includes version control that saves a restore point of a page every time it is saved. If a site is needed to be fully restored, there is no cost to the client. A full site restore generally takes less than 1-hour.

  • What type of web server does Timest Web use?

    Timest Web houses all of our clients on a US Server Cloud Hosting based on package option for that we continually upgrade on a yearly basis. Because we are constantly upgrading the server, feel free to contact us to get a list of the current server stats.

  • Where is my website hosted?

    All websites that Timest Web creates must live on our servers. However, if at any time you wish to move to a new web firm or web host, we will package up your site at no cost to send to the new firm. Though at that time, we will no longer be able to support your site. The company we use for web hosting is a Webhostbox.

    On top of that Timest Web also has a 3rd party 24/7/365 security and monitoring team, so even when we are all sleeping, your server is being carefully watched over.

  • Do you register domain names?

    Yes, we do. We’ll be more than happy to register a new domain.

  • Do you provide website hosting?

    Yes, we do. If you don’t already have a host, we’ve worked with a number of hosting providers and can give you some recommendations if don’t have a hosting provider already.

    We encourage our clients to maintain their own websites once they’re launched. All of our websites are built using WordPress, so that you can update it yourself. We’ll make sure you know how to use WordPress before we turn over the website to you.

    Generally, we expect there to be minor updates within the first 30 days after launch, so those are free. Updates after that are $10/hour, although we won’t nickel and dime you on updates – if you need something simple like an address or phone number changed, we don’t charge you.

  • Can I see how many visitors I have to my website?

    Yes, you can. We can set up a free Google Analytics account for you, which will automatically record information about your website’s visitors.

  • Do you register domain names?

  • How many revisions can I make to the design?

    We try to make the most informed decisions when it comes to creating a website design, which is why we really get to know you, your market, and your audience before we prepare mockups.

    Once the mockups are agreed upon, we’ll start actually building your website for you to see. At that point, we ask that there be no more than one (1) major revision to the design. Naturally you’ll have smaller changes and additions, but at that point, we consider the overall structure and design of the website to be set.

    If you request too many changes to your design, or if you request changes to the design after the entire site has been formatted with the template, you will incur more charges.

  • Do you provide mockups?

    Yes, we do. We provide full-color mockups to our clients for every project we work on once a contract has been signed. These mockups are the first step in our design process. Once we show them to you and come to an agreement about the website’s design, they’ll be the basis for your new website.

  • Do I own my website?

    YES! Everything that we build will be 100% owned by you. Most of our clients stay with us for the life of the website. Our team is just irresistible that way. But if for any reason you decide you want to take your site to another hosting service and get another company to service the site, we will happily assist you in making the transition as effortlessly and efficiently as possible. The website is yours after all, and we want you to take it wherever you go.

  • Can you help me source photos for my website?

    Yes. We will help you source stock photos from sites such as www.crestock.com and www.istock.com. We also have photographers and videographers available to produce custom photography and videos for your website.

  • Can you help me write content for my website?

    Yes. We include copy writing and editing in all of our proposals. We also build your sitemap and help structure the foundation of your website in the planning stages.

  • Can you help me update my existing website that another web firm built?

    Yes. We support websites that we have fully built on Content Management System.

  • What platform do you build your websites on?

    We build all of our websites on the open-source Content Management System (CMS) platform.

  • Who will I work with during the project?

    This is a great question to ask and you should ask it of any web design and development firm you are considering. Many firms will farm out work to freelancers or interns. Some firms give little or no access to client’s who want to speak directly with their designers or developers. Our clients work directly with our tight knit crew of 5. Who that will be depends on your project needs and what stage of the process you are in during the project.

  • How long does it take to build a website?

    Our standard websites take approximately 14 days to create. Our E-commerce (online store) websites take approximately 30 days to create. This time will vary from project to project.

  • What kind of businesses do you work with?

  • Do you accept payment by credit card?

    Yes, we do. Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

  • Do you require a deposit? or What are your payment steps?

    Yes, we do. We ask our clients for a 50% deposit on all projects, to be paid before work begins on the website. When you’ll approve design and complete coding the whole site then we’ll show you the site from our server. After your approval you need to pay remaining 50% to enable us to transfer the whole site to your server.

  • How much does a website cost?

    The cost of a website can vary depending on various factors, just like the cost of a house may vary. Though our website projects generally start in the $400/₦250,000 range for basic business sites and range upward depending on your unique needs.

  • How do I associate with Timest Web?

    The process begins when you contact us with your requirements. We analyze your requirements and respond to you. On the basis of the further discussion, you can choose an engagement model that suits you the best. After that, we begin the process of development.
